Client Overview: Lucky Pete’s Tavern is a new online gaming chat community aiming to become a hub for casual and competitive gamers alike. The brand is built around the idea of a cozy virtual tavern—a welcoming place where gamers from all backgrounds can connect, strategize, and unwind.

Project Objective: The goal was to design a compelling and memorable logo for Lucky Pete’s Tavern that reflects the spirit of camaraderie, fun, and gaming culture. The logo needed to balance a rustic tavern aesthetic with modern visual appeal to resonate with today’s online gaming community.

My Role: I led the creative direction of the logo design, beginning with initial concept sketches inspired by classic fantasy taverns and gaming iconography. I refined the selected concept into a polished digital logo, ensuring it captured the brand’s personality and was versatile for use across social media, stream overlays, and merchandise.

The concepts were developed to mimic a medieval aesthetic, with the client requesting a wooden shield as the focal point and typography inspired by traditional medieval lettering styles.
The client also wanted a beer element incorporated into the logo, so I sketched several concepts featuring beer mugs and tankards to explore how it could complement the tavern theme.

From there, I explored a few color variations and combined them with text treatments to establish the overall tone and style before integrating them into the wooden shield design.

The client was nearly satisfied with the results, but requested additional clarity in the text—so I added a yellow-gold accent to the lettering to enhance readability and give it a more polished, medieval feel.
